Altitude 1000 - Brussels Sonic and Visual Arts - focuses on Brussels based artists who combine sound and image in a peculiar way: from vj's to media artists, from performance artists to installation makers. Altitude 1000 takes this fragmented Brussels audiovisual landscape as its starting point and aims to make the diversity of the Brussels scene visible.
Okno participates with an installation, two performances and an artist presentation.
- On tuesday december 12th at 8.30pm, so-on/isjtar/adsr.221 bring a new live set of electronic music and visuals.
Snippets of Notovo, nasa communication and mapped 3D structures are fed into the artbot Mai. With DIY instruments and interfaces we engage the computer for what will hopefully be a captivating experience.
- From december 9th to 16th, the third version of the Code31/SE30-installation (15 primitive computers make music and visuals by collaborating and communicating) will be exhibited in one of the windows on the outside of the Recyclart/Kapellekerk-train station.
- At the opening of the festival, december 9th at 8.30pm, a performance with the installation is planned.
- Friday 15th of december, Okno will present and explain what we do and why we do it at the public meeting in the Recyclart bar, between 3pm and 6pm.
