Luminous Green open lab
a festive closure of the Luminous Green workshop
thursday may 17, 2007 sunday may 20, 2007
On Saturday the 5th of May, at 5PM, we will open our doors to everyone
who'd like to have a final taste of Luminous Green. Join us in our
temporary lab where, over the period of four days, the differences
between food and fuel, biology and electronics, organic and inorganic
chemistry have all but collapsed. If this is not enough to convince you
to spend a sunny afternoon with us, come and have a taste of our 'wild,
well travelled and leftover cuisine', or have a sip from the bar serving
FoAM's famously shaken Luminous Green cocktails. It will be a glowing
closure of an electrified, illuminated and imaginative week!
During the Open Lab, the participants will discuss and show their
hands-on experiments, revisit some of the questions raised during the
many discussions and celebrate the end of an intense and inspiring week.
You can experience our power generating flower arrangements, solar
panels printed with berry pulp, or a small swarm of tiny robotic
crickets. You can soil your hands with some old-school microscopy, or an
emulsion of foodstuffs and electrodes. You can add your bit to the
discussions on personal fabrication, low-power computing, patterns,
crafts, or whole systems thinking.
Workshop participants include; Angelo Vermeulen, Olu Vandenbussche,
Patrick De Koning, Robert Brecevic, Geska Anderson, Vahida Ramujkic,
Annemie Maes, Steven Pickles, Bart Vandeput, Rachel Wingfield, Matthias
Gmachl, Carole Collet, Cristina della Giustina, Toby Borland, Marko
Peljhan, Goran Kuzmanovic, S. Srinivasan Rajan, Tapio Makela, Andrew
Morrison, Idunn Sem, Herve Gouget, Nik Gaffney, Lina Kusaite, Rasa
Alksnyte, Pieter de Wel and Maja Kuzmanovic.
